Detailed Schedule

Quick Facts
When  November 10-11, 2000
Events will start Friday evening and continue until the banquet Saturday Night.
Where  Louisiana State University
Events will be held in various buildings. More specific information will be added.
Cost  $125/$190
Registration is $125 before October 28, $190 after that date - register early! Registration fees cover three contestants and one coach. Alternates may attend for a cost of $30. Guests just for the banquet are $15.
Facilities  We will provide Pentium-class systems running Windows NT (or 2000). Each team will be provided one system for use during the contest. We will attempt to make each system as equal as possible (typical system is an IBM pentium-based system running at 500 MHz or better, with a 17-inch monitor).Each team will be provided one system for use during the contest.
Software  We currently have installed and will have available the following languages:
  • IBM Visual Age C/C++
  • IBM Java
  • Borland Delphi
We plan to install VIM and EMACS but have not done so yet. Other than these products, the systems will have only a base Windows install. If you desire other tools, please let us know (such as editors). We will endeavor to provide an environment as close as possible to the environment that the International Contest requires.
Judging  We are currently comparing our local judging/scoring system to PC^2 software (we will announce which will be used as soon as possible).

More details will be provided as they are determined and/or requested.

NOTES

  1. As final costs are determined, prices for alternates and guests may be adjusted.
  2. ACM International Contest requires that teams be exactly three members (teams of two are not allowed). We will follow this guideline.
